Meet Cosmo, born 01/15/2023, a resilient and sensitive soul who is still learning what safety and kindness feel like. Cosmo is what we lovingly call a “quasi Cozy Cat,” meaning he remains an independent rescue while still receiving support with vetting, costs, and guidance through Cozy Cats. This model allows us to help individual rescuers continue saving lives—especially under increasingly strict rescue regulations—without requiring every cat to physically enter the rescue house.
Cosmo was abused and abandoned, and as a result, he is deeply frightened of men. Thanks to months of patient, compassionate work by his rescuer & one of our foster parents, Jamie, his progress has been nothing short of heartwarming. He’s slowly building trust, finding comfort, and showing glimpses of the gentle cat he’s meant to be. Cosmo will need a calm, understanding home that respects his boundaries and celebrates every small victory along the way. For the right person, helping Cosmo continue his journey could be an incredibly meaningful and rewarding experience.
