Meet Keaton, born around 06/01/2023, a charming orange and white boy with the craziest whiskers you’ll ever see. This sweet, shy guy was surrendered by his previous owner but is now safe at the rescue and slowly coming out of his shell. Despite his reserved nature, Keaton has already earned the title of “lap cat,” always finding solace in moments of quiet affection.
Keaton is still learning to trust and would do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue to grow at his own pace. He’s curious, gentle, and has a lot of love to give—once he feels comfortable, he might even rediscover his playful side. All he needs is a chance to feel secure and loved in a forever home.
Keaton is comfortable with other cats, though he may initially be a bit defensive and scared. He should be given time to adjust and settle in. He is untested with dogs, but we can test him upon inquiry.
The 3-3-3 rule (3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months) is a helpful guideline for cat adoption, suggesting it takes about 3 days for a cat to decompress, 3 weeks to adjust to their new environment, and up to 3 months to feel fully settled in. Be patient, and Keaton will show you and the animals of the home the wonder of his spunky, all-in loving nature.
