Some cats are fighters, and some are lovers. These two? They’re both.

Lucky, this beautiful tuxedo boy, was the very first rescue placed in our arms — and he’s been in our hearts ever since. Thrown into a highway median in Elmira, he came to us broken but not beyond saving: a shattered shoulder, a deformed leg, and infections that would've taken over if he wasn't rescued when he was. But Lucky didn’t just survive — he thrived. These days, he’s a shameless cuddle monster who will absolutely step on your face at 3 a.m. just to tell you he loves you. He has no teeth, and battles chronic respiratory issues from calicivirus, feline herpes, and stomatitis, but nothing slows his snuggles.

Frankie, his tiny tabby bestie, is the quieter of the two — a soft, steady presence who brings a teddy bear warmth to every room he’s in. Like Lucky, Frankie also has no teeth and copes with the same chronic conditions, including calici, herpes, and stomatitis. He may sniffle his way through the day, but his sweet spirit never falters.

These boys are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They’re both great with other cats and dogs and exceptionally loving and gentle.

They may have special medical needs, but what they really need is a special person — someone who sees the beauty in broken things made whole by love.

To adopt ANY of our chronically ill cats you must go through a double-vetting process to ensure they will receive the best care possible.
